There is no chance to avoid the sun with said Coachella takes place in the desert of California. In other words, Coachella is all about 100 degrees weather, desert sun, and everything outdoors. There, sunscreen is among the essentials to pack in the Coachella festival checklist to protect you from all possible skin irritations.
Bring sunscreen with SPF 50 or higher that can sit on the skin and block the sun actively. Choose a good brand free of chemicals and harmful ingredients, lightweight, and could make your skin feel refreshed and protected.
Water bottles

Water is of utmost importance when it comes to the Coachella festival where dehydration is highly possible in direct sun and dry landscapes. To stay hydrated on the festive weekend, you need to pack enough water and should not forget to drink often.
Water fountains can be found around the festival area to refill bottles for free of charge. If you are too worried about packing heavy, you can fill up here. Be sure that you do not bring glass or Aluminum bottles to the area even for the purpose of water. Glass, aluminum, and other metal bottles are not allowed here and the only option to stick with is plastic.
Tent and Tarp

Your shade structure is going to be one of the important things at Coachella as you are getting exposed to too much sun at the site. Make your choice to an easy pitching tent and pop-ups are too works well. While the tents are not allowed at the Coachella music venue, you can set up your shelter at your camping site.
For your Coachella weekend, there will be no rain forecast. But finding shade is difficult and what you really need is where the sun is always up above. So pack up the camp tarp to set up a perfect shaded place to you to relax well.
Portable battery packs

Like on many other occasions, keeping your devices charged and going well at Coachella is difficult. At the festival, you will definitely find charging stations for public use. But being among up to 80,000 partakers, the chance for you to use them is really low. So without getting troubled by running out of juice, add a portable battery pack to your Coachella festival checklist.
At Coachella, you are not allowed to bring generators even up to tent camping or car camping locations. There, the best option is a small portable battery pack as large solar panels are too out of permission.
Summer Sleeping Bags

During the day, Coachella will be boiling hot and it is not a secret. But at night, you will be surprisingly cold. So it is fairly reasonable to pack a fine summer sleeping bag to Coachella if you really want to have a quality night’s sleep. And if you tend to get cold at night, make sure you pack sleeping bag liners to have extra comfort and warmth.
In case if this is your first experience and no sleeping bags with you, the best is about packing some blankets. And do not miss your pillow to make it your comfortable sleeping place.
Air Mattresses

Even if you think sleeping on the ground is the plan at Coachella that will not be easy as sounds when you are after a long tiring day. Yes, you need the right things to sleep on. If you too believe you need good sleep at the end of the Coachella adventure to complete your plan, it is about the need for the right Air Mattress to take with you. You can choose from a wide range of Air mattresses to meet your requirements.
For the same purpose, a good sleeping pad is too good but when comfort is a top priority, nothing can beat the support of an air mattress.
Body wipes

You are going to an extremely dry and hot landscape in the USA and you definitely need the right support of hygiene. Pack body wipes and stays clean even if you get no chance for showers at the site.
At Coachella, you will find thousands of people, dry and dusty weather, people so often walking over grass, and the busiest surroundings. There, staying clean is of utmost importance and will be a great relief to stay fresh and active throughout the adventures. Pack enough body wipes, face wipes, baby wipes, or anything. Alternatively, you can soak a washed hand towel in cool water and use it to wipe your face, neck, and hands.
If in case if you get a chance for a shower, never miss it out. So pack your essentials like soap, towel, and anything necessary to keep on self-hygiene.
Earplugs

If you aren’t a big fan of music, you will never choose Coachella to spend your weekend. But how could you let your eardrums suffer too much? Add earplugs to your Coachella festival checklist and be sure of a top-notch sound experience. These can protect your ears from the long-term impacts of too loud music.
When choosing an earplug, look for the filter technology it uses and consider plugging comfortably. This filter technology can let you enjoy sounds safely without making a fuss of your enjoyment.
Headlamps

To the concert menu, you are not allowed to take any light. But at the campsite, having a reliable headlamp will be a great help to find out anything easily when the daylights are gone.
Rather than taking a headlamp like an additional gear in your Coachella festival checklist, some would prefer using the mobile phone light to look for anything at the campsite. This can work but if the battery drains out faster, that too going to be trouble. So think about adding a headlamp to your list to manage well with some of your needs at night.
Food

What to eat at the Coachella is important as you can decide on food to help with keeping your body hydrated. Pre-cut fruits and frozen grapes like things are perfect to survive in the drylands but when snacks and fruits aren’t enough, you have to turn into cooking your meals.
Open flames are not allowed at Coachella for safety purposes. So have to keep it limited in the car camping site and unfortunately, stoves are not allowed at tent camping areas too. If you are tent camping, you have to look for the food trucks to have each meal. So better you take the free shuttle to the local grocery where you can find snacks and things easily also with saving some money.
And here are some more tips on food at Coachella:
- Have some pre-cut watermelon and frozen grapes
- Take multivitamins to have the dose of energy
- Have Pedialyte Powder with water where it can keep you hydrated with electrolyte (sugar-free)
- If you are thinking about bringing a camping stove, look for a Propane stove to prepare some wholesome meals
- Do not miss visiting food stands for some good stuff that are running by local Coachella Valley residents
- Have Aspirin or any needed medicines to use just in case
Camping chairs

If you are planning on a right stay at Coachella, a set of camping chairs for your group will be a great addition to the list. At the campsite, you will not find picnic tables or other similar items and there having a camping chair will be worth it. Even if you think this is not essential, you will definitely thank once you are returned from Coachella adventures.
There are plenty of places for you to sit relaxed and eat nearby the food trucks. So having chairs and makes it work over sitting on the ground in dust and dirt.
Small backpack

You only take your essentials for the day when you leave the campsite. For that, have a small backpack that is light, fitting in size, and spacious for what you pack. So you can take all essentials with you in a proper backpack while keeping your hands free to do anything you like.
Just like in any other crowded area, theft is possible at Coachella even if we never wish for you to experience it. So having a not very flashy backpack can help with keeping things safe.
In the pack, have water, sunscreen, blankets, sunglasses, and anything to cover up when it gets cold in the evenings. And have a small amount of cash to shop for snacks, drinks, or anything at the festival. But remember not to take a lot of cash.
Coolers

How could your desert music festival be completed without a cooler? In my experience, a cooler is a must and you will definitely be thankful for all the cold beverages you had.
Just like some other things above mentioned, coolers are not allowed at the music venue. So this is among the things you have to leave at the campsite when you are heading to the concert.
And additionally, bring some ice packs with you to keep things cool enough. Even if you can find ice to buy at the general store, they are pricier and the chance of sell-out is high.
With personal preferences, there can be slight changes in making the Coachella festival checklist. But think about the essentials to keep things going well. And here I bring some extras to make your planning easier.
